jZip 1.3 – veloce e comodo anche da cmd

In questi giorni sto lavorando con un ottimo prodotto gratuito (diversamente da WinRar).

Le features:

La cosa positiva è che può essere usato in command line.

> jzip /h

Quindi per lanciare via cmd una compressione della directory ESPANSA contenente 20 files in un file COMPRESSO.ZIP:

> jzip -a -pr COMPRESSO.ZIP ESPANSA

Per decomprimere:

> jzip -e COMRESSO.ZIP destination_dir

Decisamente comodo se le operazioni di compressione sono legate a lancia automatici (schedulati o batch).

E’ importante ricordarsi di creare la destination_dir prima di scompattare perchè non ho trovato (o non esiste) la funzione “crea directory se non esiste). Il comando via cmq -e non tiene conto dell’albero delle directory sorgente quindi sbatte tutti i files nella destination_dir o nella corrente se non viene specificata la destination_dir.

Unica nota sgradevole è l’inserimento automatico di un link “Archive created by free jZip” che punta alla pagina web del produttore in ogni archivio.

Final Cut Express 4 su iBook PowerPC G4 – I

Il tentativo è semplice: installare Final Cut Express 4 su un iBook G4 di qualche anno fa.

Da specifiche, i requisiti minimi sono:

Minimum Hardware Requirements
• A Macintosh computer with a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, Intel Core Duo 2, or Intel Xeon processor
• 1 GB of RAM
• An AGP or PCI Express graphics card compatible with Quartz Extreme or an Intel GMA integrated graphics processor in a MacBook or Mac mini computer
Note: Not all FxPlug filters are compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors.
• For AVCHD: A Macintosh computer with an Intel processor
• A display with 1024 x 768 resolution or higher
• A DVD drive for installation

Minimum Software Requirements
• Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later
• QuickTime 7.2 or later

Available Disk Space
• 500 MB of disk space required to install the applications (Final Cut Express and LiveType)
• Additional 500 MB required to install LiveType content

Before You Install
Make sure you do the following before you install the software:
• Turn off any virus-protection and security software that you may have installed on your computer.
• Upgrade to Mac OS X v10.4.10 (or later) and QuickTime 7.2 (or later)
